Peluncuran smartphone terbaru Apple yakni Apple iPhone SE pada 21 Maret 2016 lalu yang memiliki kelebihan di bandingkan ponsel sebelumnya. iPhone SE ini tidak dapat di nikmati oleh seri terbaru iPhone (iPhone 6S dan iPhone 6S Plus), melainkan di peroleh seri iPhone 5S yang notabenya dari penjelasan Apple waktu lalu, selama tahun 2015 Apple telah berhasil menjual banyak produk dengan layar berukuran 4 inch. Itulah iPhone 5S yang di maksudkan, karena selama peluncuran awal 5S ke publik hingga akhir tahun 2015 penjualannya sangat meningkat tajam di bandingkan dengan iPhone 6. Melihat data penjualan tersebut, Apple akhirnya berniat akan meluncurkan produknya yang memiliki layar 4 inch dan berteknologi canggih seperti iPhone 6S di tahun 2016 ini.

“Kami menjual 30 juta iPhone (dengan layar) 4 inci pada 2015,” kata Joswiak memberi gambaran. iPhone SE kini menjadi andalan baru Apple di segmen tersebut, menggantikan iPhone 5S sebelumnya.
